Ricca Pokot, the nine-year-old daughter of renowned DJ Pierra Makena, has landed a significant television role as a co-host on Akili TV’s Saturday Morning Show. This milestone makes her one of the youngest television personalities in Kenya.

Ricca Pokot Joins Akili TV

Akili TV officially announced Ricca’s appointment on February 27. She will co-host the Saturday Morning Show alongside Laura Nel. The program, tailored for children aged six to 14, will premiere on March 1 and air every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM, with repeat broadcasts scheduled for Fridays at 4:00 PM.

Content and Format of the Show

The Saturday Morning Show aims to engage young audiences with a mix of entertainment, educational content, and inspiring stories. Key segments of the program include:

  • Fun events and interactive activities
  • Cooking and DIY projects
  • Motivational real-life stories
  • The latest entertainment and lifestyle trends
  • Fitness and wellness discussions for children

Ricca and Laura will engage with viewers by watching, reacting to, and discussing entertaining videos, providing a fresh and youthful perspective.

Ricca’s Excitement for Her New Role
