The latest development reveals that DP Rigathi Gachagua has filed a trademark application for his nickname ‘RIGGY G’.
As per the trademark law, Kenyans who use this name without his permission will be required to pay a hefty fine of Ksh200,000 or face imprisonment for five years.
The Kenya Industrial Property Institute (KIPI) has accepted his trademark application dated April 30, 2023, which will prevent others from using his name without his consent.
