The African Nations Championship (CHAN 2024) will conclude on Saturday, August 30, at Nairobi’s Kasarani Stadium, promising a memorable finale after a month-long football spectacle. Morocco and Madagascar will face off in the final following dramatic semi-final victories on Tuesday, August 26.
The closing ceremony will feature top musical acts from East Africa. Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania will be represented by Savara, Eddy Kenzo, and Zuchu respectively. The lineup was confirmed by the Football Kenya Federation, with Zuchu announcing her headlining role on Instagram. Savara, formerly of Sauti Sol, will not only perform but also highlights his role in producing and composing the official CHAN 2024 anthem, “Pamoja,” alongside Ugandan artist Elijah Kitaka and Tanzanian singer Phina. The anthem set the tone for the tournament during the opening ceremony and reflects the collaborative spirit of the event.
The final promises a historic clash between Morocco and Madagascar. Both teams overcame strong opponents in the semi-finals, setting the stage for a high-stakes match at Kasarani Stadium, also known as Moi International Sports Centre.
