Renowned media personality Eric Latiff has officially said goodbye to Spice FM and The Standard Group, marking the end of a memorable five-year journey. Known for his thought-provoking interviews and candid discussions, Latiff reflected on his time at the station and expressed gratitude for the incredible team he worked with.

In a heartfelt message shared on his social media accounts, Latiff acknowledged the initial doubts and challenges that came with launching Spice FM. “When I switched on the four microphones that morning, I was excited about launching yet another station, but I also had butterflies in my stomach. Would this work? Would the audience embrace four hours of non-stop talk during their busy morning commute?” he recalled.

Latiff, along with his colleagues CT Muga, Ndu Okoh, and Njeri Thorne, took on the new assignment with dedication and a shared belief that they could succeed. Over time, their efforts paid off, with The Situation Room becoming a key platform for Kenya’s biggest conversations. The show hosted leaders, community influencers, and professionals, quickly becoming a go-to for listeners seeking insightful discussions.

As he said farewell to the team at Spice FM, Latiff expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to be part of Kenya’s oldest private media house. “My heart is heavy as I bid farewell to the brilliant team of colleagues at Spice FM and the Standard Group. I am grateful for the opportunity to once again be a part of Kenya’s oldest private media house,” he shared.

Throughout his career, Latiff has been proud to be part of several media start-ups, and he promised to keep his fans updated on his next move. His departure was marked with a celebratory video where the team gathered to celebrate his contributions with a cake, reflecting the bond and camaraderie they had built.

Latiff’s five-year tenure at Spice FM has left a lasting impact, and his fans are eager to see what comes next for the seasoned journalist.
