Eric Omondi has once again shown that his passion for activism goes beyond the stage, as the comedian and human rights advocate continues to use his platform to drive meaningful change. Through his initiative, Team Sisi kwa Sisi, Omondi recently shared the remarkable transformation of a learning environment for underprivileged children, touching the hearts of many across the country.

In a video shared on his social media platforms, Omondi documented the before-and-after journey of a school where young learners had been attending classes in dilapidated mud-walled structures. The original footage revealed classrooms with gaping holes in the walls, broken blackboards, and an overall atmosphere that was far from conducive for learning.

Omondi and his team stepped in with the goal of creating a dignified space for the children. Working hand-in-hand with local builders, they replaced the crumbling structures with permanent stone-walled classrooms. The new classrooms were painted in bright colours and decorated with learning aids to stimulate the children’s creativity and interest in learning. The project was completed in just three weeks.

Beyond the construction, Omondi also donated exercise books and took time to engage with the learners personally. He was seen encouraging the children, leading prayers, and reinforcing the value of education—emphasising that every child deserves a chance at a better future, regardless of their background.

In his message accompanying the video, Omondi expressed his deep commitment to the cause and hope for a better Kenya. He called for a future where national priorities focus on the people and not on greed, tribalism, or corruption. He praised the efforts of everyone who supported the initiative and reminded Kenyans that change is possible when people unite for a common good.

Although he did not reveal the school’s exact location, possibly due to a previous incident where a classroom he helped build in Turkana was later demolished, the results spoke volumes. The act of kindness underscored his growing role as a community leader and change-maker.

Eric Omondi continues to lead by example, proving that influence can be a tool for justice, dignity, and lasting impact. His work with Team Sisi kwa Sisi reflects a vision for a more compassionate Kenya, where even the most vulnerable have access to opportunities and respect.
