Kenya Film and Classification Board, KFCB boss Ezekiel Mutua has hit out on the award winning band Sauti Sol over their latest colabo hit with Nigerian ace Patoranking.
The song dubbed ‘Melanin’ according to one of the Sauti Sol band artist Bien , seeks to appreciate the African beauty and culture.
‘Melanin’ is not even a week old and its concern over sexual obscenity has been scattered over the internet.
Nobody should hide behind popular themes such as black beauty to corrupt the moral values of our children . @sautisol must submit their video to @InfoKfcb for classification in line with the law

This is not the first time Sauti Sol have been on the spotlight of videos with excess of sexual content.
#SautiSolVideoIrksEzekielMutua@sautisol 's Melanin Video is gross and not suitable for children. It also objectifies women under the guise of black beauty!

Their other hit ‘Nishike’ was also seen to feed too much sex to their Kenyan market who largely are a young generation.

Sauti Sol, on their defence, have been on a common mantra and cliche ‘Not meant for you’ which loosely means not meant for kids under the age of 18 years.
But the most ironical thing is that they distribute their music to everyone, paying little attention to who is listening and watching.
The new video has already hit more than 350K views within a span of two days.
