A Kenyan young man believed to be a member of Al Shabaab, was arrested in Philippines on 2nd of July 2019.
Philippines National Police (PNP) on Tuesday reported that Mr Cholo Abdi Abdullah was nabbed at Rasca Hotel in Iba, Zambales, based north west of the country.
The terror suspect is in police custody, according to Major General Amador Corpuz,s the Director of Criminal Investigations and Detection Group (CIDG)
“Seized from the suspect were a 9-mm pistol, magazine and ammunition, one unit of an improvised explosive device, a hand grenade, and other bomb-making components,” the Philippines Police said in a report.
The suspected was a student at All Asia Aviation Academy studying to become a pilot.
