Recently, Facebook announced that users of the platform will have the possibility to transmit live through the computer in order to be able to perform question-and-answer sessions, daily videos, gameplay, tutorials, or any stable transmission in some place.
Live broadcasting has become a daily fashion within the current culture in digital media and, above all, in social networks; Specifically on Facebook that is the social network that contains more users.
Through an official statement, the social network mentioned the following:
“We are excited to announce that, starting today, people across the world can stream live Facebook videos from their desktop computers or laptops. Although since last year it was possible to stream live on Facebook from mobile devices, desktop computers or laptops offer a stable camera configuration that can prove beneficial for many types of live broadcasts through Facebook.
To start streaming live from your computer, all you have to do is click on the option that says: “Live video”
Many might think that this new feature will not make much sense because the joke of live streaming is to document what happens around us wherever we are, so a smartphone is the ideal tool.
However, live streaming from the computer could facilitate many situations for users who are interested in sharing what they are experiencing. For example … there are many Youtubers that could be useful to present some video game or some daily activity, or there are those who would like to be known in the world of the network and the live stream from their homes could be a good step to start.
Maybe it could also work for anyone who wants to show a cooking recipe, or tutorial, and it would boost the feedback in real time. The receivers will be able to ask questions or comments regarding the live video and the user that is transmitting could respond instantly.
