When it comes to fashion and clothing trend, some people are die hard fanatics that they wear whatever is in not knowing that the season’s particular style is not at all good for them. There are fashion myths that most of us practice that we thought make us look good. But do these practices really enhance our best features or just make us look odd?

Myth: only skinny girls can wear skinny jeans.
Fact: curvy ladies can also wear skinny jeans; you just have to find the perfect fit for you. This brings us to another well known say that is totally a myth that People with skinny legs can wear anything.
Fact:
Skinny legs should avoid wearing hot pants, short shorts and micro miniskirts as the legs will only appear lanky.

Myth: Black is for everyone.
Fact:
Black may be the most versatile and slimming of all colours but certain complexions are not flatted by black. People with olive skin and pale complexion should not wear black close to their necks as this will make the face appear sickly.

Myth: Horizontal Stripes makes you look fat.
Fact:
Studies show that ladies who wore horizontal stripes were regarded to have looked slimmer by 6 % as well as vertical stripes that are not set too close together. But vertical stripes widely set apart provides width illusion.

Myth: Shoes and bags must match.
Fact:
This may be practiced in the past but nowadays, it is not. The trend now is using anything that appeals to you. Instead of matching the bag to your shoes, match it to your dress or clothing.

Myth: Unwanted curves may be hidden by baggy clothes.
Fact:
Dressing yourself like a bag or sack of potatoes will not hide the concaves but will in fact accentuate them. Instead wear clothes that glide along the lines of the body to create a silhouette that slims and flatters the body.

Myth: Long skirts and tops will make a person look short and bulk.
Fact:
The truth is that long skirts make a person seem taller if matched with a long tunic. A layered skirt looks good on any type of body.

Myth: Because chunky accessories are in, therefore I can put them all at once.
Fact:
Unless you want to look like an accessories rag, then you can wear all those chunky accessories. If you are using a chunky pendant or necklace, then do not any other accessories.

Myth: Sequins are only for night events.
Fact:
A casually worn sequined shirt or skirt creates a sexy and classy even during day time.
