A fire incident in Nairobi CBD was contained in Tribeka Lounge after it came from their kitchen.
A female chef accounted that the fire started razing down the night club’s kitchen after cooking fryer that uses electricity went into a fault and burst into flames.
“The oil in the cooker just kept on boiling. My colleague tried to switch it off but it could not go off. That is when we removed the socket from the main switch and it burst into flames,” she said.
Fire-men located just few metres from the Banda Street club responded quickly and toned down the fire which happened on the afternoon of Monday 10th September, 2018.
