A suspected thief was forced to eat hot and raw pepper in Mombasa after he allegedly was caught stealing shoes at a mosque in Mombasa city.

The thief confessed that he used to steal shoes from Sakina Mosque in Majengo and later sell them at a throw away price of sh.500, to a seller only known as Felix who would resell then at the Ferry and Changamwe area.

In the short video, the man is visibly seen struggling to eat the pepper as his tormentors cheer him up.

Muslims usually leave their shoes on the door mat area of the mosque before they go in for prayers and worship.
