Speculations have been swirling on social media regarding whether Diana Marua had parted ways with her long-serving nanny, Irene Nekesa. The rumors sparked curiosity among fans, with many questioning if there was any fallout between Irene and the Bahati family. To address these questions, Irene, now a budding content creator, shared her side of the story on her new YouTube channel.

In the video, Irene confirmed that she no longer worked for the Bahatis but clarified that their parting was amicable and in good faith. According to her, Diana and Bahati had been supportive of her career aspirations. “Kama mimi nilikuwa nafanya kazi. Nilikuwa nawork hard. Mnajua penye nilikuwa nafanya kazi kwa bossy. Diana na Bahati tunawapenda sana kwenye mko mjue nawapenda,” she expressed with fondness. Irene noted that their decision was mutual and aimed at helping her pursue personal growth and establish her own content-creation journey.

“Si aty tumewachana ni vile ilifika mahali wakasema Irene umegrow enda utafute maisha yako at least ujishikilie,” she continued. She explained that since the youngest child in the household had reached an age where they were more independent, the Bahatis encouraged her to explore new opportunities. “So mimi nimefika hio wakati wakaniambia move utafute maisha yako ama uanze… atusaidie mtu mwingine,” Irene added, emphasizing that there was no animosity between her and her former employers.

The topic gained momentum when some online followers noticed that Irene and Diana Marua had seemingly unfollowed each other on social media, fueling rumors that their relationship had turned sour. However, Irene addressed this issue as well, attributing it to a possible technical mishap. “Ata hio ku unfollow maybe imekuwa by mistake juu mimi sijaona,” she remarked. She mentioned receiving messages from people pointing out the perceived snub but insisted that there was no deliberate act of unfollowing on her part or Diana’s.

Dame Wa Facebook, an online personality, posed the question that many were asking: “Wambea wanasema ulifukuzwa mpaka watu wakasema Diana B anafukuzaje Irene?” In response, Irene dismissed these claims and reiterated her gratitude towards the Bahatis for their support during her time working for them.

Fans of Irene took to social media to share their thoughts, with many expressing support for her new journey in content creation. Irene’s move comes at a time when many former domestic workers in Kenya are transitioning to social media platforms to share their stories and showcase their talents.

The amicable nature of her departure reflects a new chapter not only for Irene but also for employers like the Bahatis, who encourage the growth and empowerment of those who work for them. Irene’s candid discussion on her YouTube channel highlights the evolving relationships between employers and employees, especially in the era of digital entrepreneurship.
