Former President Daniel Arap Moi was admitted on the evening of 12th, December 2018 at Nairobi Hospital based in Nairobi city.

This comes just few months when he was flown to Israel for a knee treatment in March 2018.

Then  his spokesperson Lee Njiru noted that the 94 year old was receiving treatment on his knee which had been troubling him for sometime.

Similarly a year ago, he had undergone a knee surgery at Agha Khan hospital on 27th January 2017.

Moi’s problem began back in 2006 following an accident involving his Range Rover and a pick-up at Rukuma Viewpoint in Limuru.

In August last year, it was also feared that the ex head of state could not recognize people around him raising concerns over suffering from dementia
