Moussa Dembele’s return to Tottenham Hotspur’s starting XI might be a major threat for Victor Wanyama’s place according to a Sports pundit in England.
Dembele has served his suspension and returned to feature against Sunderland and former Arsenal midfielder Adrian Clarke, who is currently a pundit, says that it would be harsh on the Kenyan midfielder if he loses his place.
“With his six-match suspension completed, Dembele is available for selection this weekend and will force a decision on Pochettino: Does he bring him straight back into the fold at the expense of Victor Wanyama?”
“If Wanyama loses his place it will be harsh on the summer signing from Southampton. He has formed a physically intimidating double-pivot pairing with Dier, which has kept Spurs solid. Scoring once, and generally looking at home in his new surroundings the Kenyan has impressed,” Clarke wrote on Premierleague.com.
Wanyama has played well for Tottenham so far this season, featuring in all the five Premier League matches and scoring one goal.
