Gonzalez, who was born in Spain to a Spanish mother and a Kenyan father, says he has the best chance to impress for Kenya, the country he has longed to turn out for. “I am very happy and excited to be here. I have been keenly following Kenyan football and once I knew I will get this chance to play for the Stars.

“I want to thank coach Okumbi for giving me the opportunity and I promise that I will not let him down.”

Gonzaelez added, “When I spoke with coach (Okumbi) on the phone, I felt that he has a place for me in the team. My ambitions now are to come and play and get my place in the team.”

Meanwhile, tickets for the upcoming matches against Sudan and Tanzania will retail at Sh200 for terraces and Sh500 for VIP, while the Afcon qualifier against Congo will cost Sh200 for the terrace and Sh1000 for the VIP.
