Gone are those days parents would choose careers for you or you would choose a career that everybody else is doing. Careers such as Nursing, doctorate and teaching have always been number one on people’s lists, that has all changed since more and more careers have been introduced. I always find it difficult visiting my elders and having to explain the job that I’m doing, “running around interviewing people and writing stories about them, what kind of a job is that” they will ask , cause they do not understand how you could someone get paid for doing that.

Well if you thought that was not a job, what about reality stars, kim Kardashian for example, that girl gets paid just for being on TV, if you disagree with me and say that is not a job then what is it? The point I’m trying to rise is that, you don’t always have to be a nurse or doctor to get a pay check. One needs to broaden their mind when choosing a career, take time to find out more about other careers that are out there. They are lots of careers that you might not know of, that come with good benefits, well good money of cause. We are now going to look at some of the careers that you might have overlooked but could actually work for you:

Food taster
If you love food, then this might be the best career choice for you. While this requires some science, there are also professional eaters who really do just taste foods and give their opinions on appearance, smell, taste, and texture. To excel at this job, you need to have better than average taste buds, meaning you can detect all of the subtleties of different flavours.

Real Estate
Sell houses for a living, if you are good with people and like money, this is for you. Your salary is all commission, but you get anywhere around 2-3% of your sales.  You can choose to be your own boss in this career, when time goes by and creating contact is very important, so more people can know about you.

Travel Writer
The good life of staying at word class resorts for free. Travel writing is often associated with tourism, and includes works  such as guide books and reviews, with the intent being to educate the reader about the destination, provide helpful advice for those visiting the destination, and inspire readers to travel to the destination.

Movie Critic
This is for the movie addicts. Enjoy the life of watching a  movie and having the pleasure to to give your voice and opinion about it, trust me someone will listen, not forgetting that you will have free movie tickets always and get paid, now how nice is that.

Cartoonist
Get paid to draw, this work is usually humorous, mainly created for entertainment, political commentary or advertising. Cartoonists may work in many different formats: animation, booklets, comic strips, comic books, editorial cartoons, graphic novels, manuals, single-panel or video packaging.
