Gospel singer Guardian Angel has impressed fans after revealing the progress of his new church construction project, aimed at spreading the word of God. The singer, known for hits like Nimependa, Moyo Wangu, and Yesu Sio Mwizi, was seen personally overseeing the roofing work at the site.
Real name Peter Omwaka, Guardian Angel’s journey from hardship to fame is well documented. He left his rural home for Nairobi, where he lived on the streets as a young boy. During a government crackdown on street children, he was arrested and taken to the Central Police Station, later transferred to an approved school due to overcrowding. It was there that he eventually reunited with his mother, who was living in Kibera. Despite the challenges, Guardian Angel rose to prominence in Kenya’s gospel scene.
The video shared on October 10 shows Guardian Angel walking around the construction site in a casual vest, overseeing workers as they nailed wood for the roofing structure. The walls of the church were complete up to the roofing level, and the workers had begun erecting the wood to support the roof. The footage shows the skeleton of the roof in place, with the next steps involving roofing installation, flooring, and interior and exterior finishing.
Guardian Angel humbly credited the progress to divine grace, writing, “To God be the glory.” Fans lauded his efforts on social media. Comments included, “All the glory and honour be to God,” “Incredible stuff,” “This is how people get blessings,” and “Glory. Next week, we are launching the church.”
The project highlights Guardian Angel’s commitment to ministry and his desire to give back to the community through faith. The church promises to be both a spiritual hub and a testament to his journey from adversity to success.
Fans and followers eagerly await the completion of the church, celebrating Guardian Angel’s vision and dedication to spreading the gospel.
