Tanzanian singer Harmonize sparked a heated debate after he was photographed attending a church service, kneeling at the altar while a preacher prayed for him. The image, which showed the “Show Me” hitmaker dressed in a suit with his hands lifted in prayer, raised eyebrows, particularly because of his Muslim faith. Critics questioned why a Muslim artist would attend a Christian church, with some speculating that he was paid to participate in the service.

However, Harmonize swiftly took to social media to address the backlash. In a post on his Instagram Stories, the artist made it clear that his visit was a personal choice, and he would continue to attend churches in the future. “When you give God your ear, Satan gets into the ears of those around you,” he wrote, emphasizing that he was not influenced by negativity. He further explained that he felt compelled to attend the church service as it was a place where he could connect with God amidst the challenges in the world.

Harmonize also rejected claims that his visit was financially motivated. “No preacher can buy my faith,” he declared, reinforcing his commitment to his Muslim identity. The singer expressed that, despite the criticisms, he would continue to attend churches that promote positive values, such as faith in God, kindness, and financial wisdom.

The 30-year-old artist, who has experienced significant personal growth, noted that his decision to visit the church was a reflection of his evolving mindset. Harmonize’s stance exemplifies his openness to spiritual experiences beyond religious boundaries, reinforcing the idea that faith and personal development are deeply interconnected.

This incident highlights the ongoing conversation about religion, personal beliefs, and the freedom to explore spirituality. While the debate over his actions continues, Harmonize remains steadfast in his beliefs, proudly asserting that his relationship with God transcends any form of criticism.
