During this week, Nairobi Governor stormed Pumwani Hospital on a boda boda to expose their slumber at work.

But few days later, a section of Nairobians believe that Mike Sonko’s revelation of discovering 12 bodies of babies wrapped in paper bags and firing top management was all nothing but a movie script.

This is after Sonko went ahead with a knee-jerk, donated coolants to the hospital to serve as temporary morgues

As we plan for immediate improvement of maternal care at Pumwani Maternity Hospital, I have personally donated cooler boxes to be installed in a temporary mortuary at the facility pic.twitter.com/XTLHj6MqQH

But Kenyans have since rebuked him online

However much I want to like Sonko I usually find him repulsive…like this is a philanthropic work & the governor should be congratulated. But come to imagine, Sonko was having cooler boxes in wherever place they came from–just lying around and waiting for him to burst Pumwani

Sonko!

Listen again. This is a public office. We have a budget and we pay taxes. Indeed, Pumwani collects fees.

Don't go there donating anything. Just buy the coolers, and ensure everyone works to ensure the integrity of the facility.

We don't need philanthropy. We need plans and we need systems that work. These coolers are a temporary solution to a public problem and we cannot solve a bad situation 'in the meantime'. Please, get together a Council of Experts to help you resolve Nairobi issues long term.
