How Much Kenyan Varsities Pay Lecturers According To Their Experience

Kenyan varsity teachers earn about Ksh.200,000 including house, transport and other allowances.

However, this is greatly affected by account of experience, level of education, and location.

Lectures with more experience could pocket a nice salary, and those with less will pocket a little less. For instance a lecture with less than two years will earn earn less than Ksh.100,000.

Below is a breakdown of Lectures salary based on experience.

  1. Between 2 – 5 years experience earns about Ksh.150,000 per month.

2. Experience level of between 5 – 10 years gets a salary of about Ksh.200,000 per month.

3.Between 10 – 15 years experience get a salary equivalent to Ksh250,00

4. Between 15 – 20 years, the lecturer is expected to earn monthly salary of Ksh300,00.

5. Lecturers with more than 20 years of professional experience get a salary of Ksh.350,000 per month

Part-time lectures are paid around Ksh.1500 per hour.
