Don’t you just hate it when people miss the mark when it comes to jewellery; find someone wearing too much jewellery. When it comes to jewellery one needs to be very careful so that you don’t end up looking like a Christmas tree. Though accessorizing with jewellery can be difficult, but it can be fun too.

There’s no need to spend any more money on clothes, just use these tips to dress up the clothes you already have with jewellery! Whether you’re going to work, to dinner, to a family party, or out on the town with the girls, you can spruce up any outfit.

The colours don’t need to be the same, but they should be complimentary. Try to stay within one category for colours, like nature colours (greens, browns and plums) or warm colours (oranges, yellows and reds). Next, we must remember that less is more. Choose a focal piece of jewellery that you really love and add on a few other pieces that are more discreet. For example, if you are wearing a long or showy necklace, then choose studs or simple earrings, instead of longer dangling ones.

Jewellery can dress up even the most casual outfit.
Necklaces can enhance the look of any sweater, tank or t-shirt by adding colour and beauty. Next, find a bracelet, belly ring, or earrings that go with your necklace. Be careful with these though, bangles are trendy but you don’t want them going all the way up your arm.

Although earrings are great, you should make sure they look good with your hair style. Earrings draw attention to your face, so don’t wear those long, bulky earrings if you already have a crazy hair style going on. And remember that this goes for body jewellery as well; a large, fancy nose ring or attention grabbing lip ring would seem like too much with a cascade of multi coloured curls.

Lastly, dress for the occasion.
Choose something more classy and professional for daytime and something fun and exotic for the night. You can really show who you are through your accessories. For instance, if you’re into graphic tees and tattoo style clothing, you could add a funky belt buckle or colourful bracelet.

A t-shirt and jeans can be spiced up with the right selection of earrings, bracelets, rings and more. There are so many options when it comes to accessorizing with jewellery; it’s your style so just have fun with it. It really doesn’t matter what people think it.
