The entertainment lineup for the highly anticipated HSBC SVNS 2 Nairobi has been confirmed, with Kenyan music heavyweights Khaligraph Jones and Vijana Barubaru set to headline the official afterparties at Nyayo Stadium. The two-day experience is powered by Tusker, following the brand’s Sh40 million sponsorship towards the tournament, reinforcing its commitment to elevating fan experience and supporting the growth of rugby in Kenya. Fans can expect world-class performances that complement the intensity of the rugby action, creating a full weekend of sports and music entertainment. The event promises a unique mix of adrenaline-pumping matches and live music, making it a must-attend for both rugby enthusiasts and music lovers. Organizers have ensured the afterparties provide an immersive experience that extends the excitement beyond the pitch.

Saturday, 14th February, will feature Khaligraph Jones, one of Kenya’s most celebrated hip-hop artists. Known for commanding stages and connecting effortlessly with fans, Khaligraph is expected to deliver a performance that takes the audience on a musical journey through his classic hits, including ‘Mazishi’, ‘Yes Bana’, and ‘Yego’, alongside newer releases such as ‘Uspimee’, ‘WeYuAt’, ‘Confused’, and ‘Nature Ya Binadamu’. Supporting him will be a lineup of top DJs, including DJ Tophaz, DJ Daffy, DJ Deewiz, and DJ Confy. Celebrated MC Gogo and famed rugby MC Azuu will maintain high energy throughout the evening, ensuring the atmosphere remains electric before, during, and after the performance. Fans can look forward to an unforgettable night that combines music, dance, and the excitement of the tournament.

Sunday, 15th February, will feature Vijana Barubaru, the acclaimed duo made up of rapper Mwana and vocalist Tuku Kantu. Known for their romantic and relatable storytelling, Vijana Barubaru blend Afro-pop with native East African sounds to create music that resonates deeply with fans. The duo is expected to perform some of their most loved songs, including ‘Sasa Hivi’, ‘Romantic Call’, and ‘Amanda’. Their performance provides a perfect contrast to the adrenaline of the rugby matches, allowing fans to relax, sing along, and enjoy a musical journey. DJ Grauchi, DJ Daqchild, DJ Sir M, and DJ Confy will support the set, while MC Hype Ballo keeps the energy high, ensuring Sunday closes on a vibrant note. The combination of soulful music and high-energy DJ sets makes the afterparty ideal for a Valentine Weekend outing.

Tickets for the two-day event have officially sold out, marking a historic moment for rugby in Kenya. Over 11,000 fans are expected each day, underscoring the growing popularity of rugby sevens in the country. This sell-out reflects strong local support and demonstrates how sports and entertainment can successfully merge to create a memorable experience. Organizers have confirmed that no tickets will be sold at the gates, emphasizing the demand for this high-profile event. Fans attending the event can expect a seamless blend of live rugby action and world-class entertainment.

The HSBC SVNS 2 Nairobi will feature competitive action in both men’s and women’s divisions. Men’s Division 2 teams include Kenya, USA, Uruguay, Germany, Canada, and Belgium, while the women’s Division 2 lineup features Kenya, Brazil, China, Spain, South Africa, and Argentina. Following Nairobi, the tournament moves to Montevideo, Uruguay, on 21–22 March, before concluding in São Paulo, Brazil, from 28–29 March. The top four teams from SVNS 2 will earn promotion to the SVNS World Championship, facing the top eight teams from Division 1 in Hong Kong, Valladolid, and Bordeaux. From the combined pool of 12 teams, the top eight will secure Division 1 status for the 2027 SVNS season, highlighting the competitive stakes behind the excitement.
