Kenyan man Mwangi Mukami has broken the barriers of Kenyan Education System and earned himself a space in the academic world.

After being written off, he did not give up and his determination to study saw him earn 5 degrees from USA.

Here are some interesting facts about Mwangi Mukami.

  1. Mukami noted that he wanted to become a policymaker or an attorney, but his dream was shuttered 20 years ago when he scored a D+ in KCSE exams
  2. But at 36 years old, he was a holder of 5 degrees
  3. On 8th November, 2020, he was happy to be awarded with graduate diploma from UC Berkeley
  4. Moses Mukami went on Facebook to make a heartbreaking thank you note to all those who took part in his education quest
  5. He could not also miss to encourage those who failed in KCSE, and assured them not to face rejection but rather remain focused.
  6. According to his bio on Facebook, he studied at Nairobi Milimani Secondary School for his high school level
  7. Living in California, he studied in several prestigious colleges in USA namely UC Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy , Studied International Relations at San Francisco State University and Studied Arts and Humanities at City College of San Francisco
