Kenyan actress Jackie Matubia has addressed allegations from a woman who claimed Matubia was involved with her ex-husband, resulting in their divorce. The woman, speaking anonymously via Edgar Obare’s Instagram Stories, further alleged that Matubia received a car and a house from the ex-husband.
In a lengthy video response, Matubia dismissed the claims, challenging the woman to produce receipts to substantiate her story. She expressed shock, noting she does not own a house and is still pursuing her goals. “Me, Matubia, surely a friend of mine has sent me that story and I’m like, maybe it’s me who doesn’t know that I was bought a house and a car. Can I really hustle this hard if I know I already have a house and a car?” she said.
Matubia also called out Kenyans for fabricating stories and criticized men for allegedly spreading falsehoods. She added, “If you know you bought me a car and a house, and it’s under my name, please nishow niwache kuteseka. Ona ni Sunday na bado nateseka.” She mocked the claims as weak gossip, captioning her clip: “Now this tea of yours has no sugar, that’s why you’re mentioning Matubia. Even I want those receipts… You mean to tell me I’ve had a house and a car for the past 4 years, even before Zendaya? Please tell me, because I’d really love to give people a house tour.”
Jackie clarified that her romance with her ex, Blessing Lung’aho, developed while filming the TV show Zora. She said she grew fond of him over time and leaned on him for support, but their relationship ended with her labeling him a deadbeat.
The actress’s response underscores her rejection of unverified gossip and her commitment to setting the record straight. Fans continue to watch the drama unfold, but Matubia maintains she was never involved in breaking the woman’s marriage and has yet to receive any property from the ex-husband.
