Kenyan content creator Jaymoh Decin is living proof that local talent can spark global conversations. The fast-rising comedian recently caught the attention of none other than Snoop Dogg and Tyrese Gibson—two of Hollywood’s most iconic names—after a hilarious skit of his went viral, sending Kenyan fans into a frenzy of celebration.

The viral skit features Jaymoh playing a flashy friend enjoying a meal with his crew at a high-end lounge. The comedic punchline lies in a relatable moment: each time he stands to take a phone call, his friends instinctively stand too—worried he might walk out on the bill. Titled “When the person paying the bill keeps standing up,” the video resonated globally with its sharp wit and perfect timing.

Snoop Dogg reposted the clip on Instagram with laughing emojis and the caption, “Can’t let it happen,” while Tyrese echoed the sentiment with his own share, writing, “Levels! Kenya to the world,” alongside a row of clapping emojis.

In an exclusive interview with TUKO.co.ke, Jaymoh Decin said the recognition felt like a dream come true. “The only mission is to reach the BET Awards, and we will get there,” he declared. He credits his rise to hard work and consistency—two principles he says are key for anyone in any field.

Jaymoh is well-known for his spot-on impersonations of figures like Steve Harvey, Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu, and local stars such as Willy Paul. Asked how he manages to channel so many personalities so seamlessly, he admitted even he is sometimes surprised. “There is no limit,” he said. “Again, the hard work pays.”

With his comedy now catching international eyes, Jaymoh is focused on growing his brand further. He revealed plans to launch a YouTube channel, complete with a full comedy series aimed at his ever-growing fanbase. He’s also setting his sights on big-brand partnerships and collaborations with other African content creators.

“I’m grateful to the pioneers of Kenyan comedy who made it possible for us to thrive,” he said, thanking those who paved the way. “It’s not by power or might, but by the Spirit of the living God. We’re taking Kenyan comedy to the world.”

The online reaction has been overwhelmingly supportive. Fellow artist King Kaka wrote, “You win, we all win,” while fans flooded Jaymoh’s social media with messages like, “This is just the beginning,” and “Keep knocking those winning doors.”

As Jaymoh Decin sets his sights on the BET stage, one thing is clear—his comedic genius, grounded faith, and relentless drive are already putting Kenya firmly on the global entertainment map.
