Jesse Were Bags 3 Awards From Zambian Top League

Kenyan forward Jesse Were who plays for Zambian League side Zesco United bagged 3 awards of honour from his Club, even though it was in his absentia.

The 27 year old Harambee Stars player won the Best Player of the season award for his club, won a spot in the team of the year and as the second best Top Scorer from the club.

Former Tusker FC player was second in the league as a top goal scorer with 18 goals in the league and 25 goals from the season as it came to the end.

Ajax Cape Town and Free State Stars from South Africa are in race to sign Were who is believed to have a release clause of Ksh.16 million from Zesco United.

Top clubs from the gulf and Egypt have also shown interest from the player.

David Owino, a centre back also plays in the same team with Jesse Were

Zesco United won the title for this season’s campaign
