Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) is a State Corporation operating under the Ministry of Information, Communications, and the Digital Economy. Established under the KBC Act (Cap. 221), the Corporation is committed to delivering excellent broadcast services to its audiences, customers, and the general public. Its mandate is to inform, educate, and entertain through Radio Services, Television Programs, and Digital Media platforms.

The Corporation is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the following positions within the Advertising Department. We are looking for dynamic, self-driven, and results-oriented professionals who can contribute to achieving our corporate objectives. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.

REF: AD/01/07/2023: ADVERTISING EXECUTIVES (FREELANCERS) MOMBASA – 2 POSITIONS, NAIROBI – 8 POSITIONS)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare sales presentations for the Corporation.
  2. Generate new business and maintain a portfolio of brands for significant growth.
  3. Deliver business revenues and meet set targets.
  4. Ensure customer satisfaction and maintain long-term relationships.
  5. Collect market intelligence to develop effective selling strategies.
  6. Develop concepts and ideas in Radio, TV, and Digital media for presentations.
  7. Create awareness of available advertising opportunities within the Corporation.
  8. Reconcile client accounts and address queries.
  9. Manage customer relationships and business effectively.
  10. Submit monthly sales projections and achieve monthly sales targets.

KBC: ISO 9001:2015 Certified Corporation (Certificate No KE 21/92667)

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Degree/Diploma in Sales and Marketing or a relevant field.
  2. Two years of experience in Sales and Marketing.
  3. Excellent interpersonal and client service skills.
  4. Ability to cultivate long-standing client relationships.
  5. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  6. Excellent communication skills.
  7. Understanding and experience in the industry will be an added advantage.
