A group of students from Juja Preparatory and Senior School recently returned from an exquisite trip to Italy’s capital, Rome. The students, who are all in PP1, had the opportunity to visit some of the city’s most famous landmarks, including the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain, and the Pantheon. They also took a cooking class and learned how to make traditional Italian dishes.
The trip was organized by the school’s parent-teacher association and was funded by a combination of school fees and fundraising activities. The students were accompanied by a group of teachers and chaperones.
“The trip was an amazing opportunity for our students to learn about Italian culture and history,” said the school’s principal, Mr. James Mwangi. “They had a great time exploring the city and learning about its rich heritage.”
One of the students who went on the trip, Bahati’s son, Daniel, said that he had a “fantastic time” in Rome. “I learned so much about the city’s history and culture,” he said. “I also got to try some delicious Italian food.”
Another student, Mary, said that she was “inspired” by the trip. “I saw so many amazing things in Rome,” she said. “It made me want to travel more and learn about other cultures.”
The trip was a great success, and the students who went on it are sure to remember it for years to come. It is an experience that they will cherish and that will help them to grow as learners and as individuals.
In addition to the students, Bahati’s two children also attended the school. The school’s fees are quite high, with PP1 students paying almost KSh 200,000 per year. However, the school is considered to be one of the best in Kenya, and many parents are willing to pay the high fees in order to give their children a good education.
