“We’ve always treated top performers to a vacation, and this year will be no different. It’s a tradition we hold dear to celebrate these students’ dedication,” Kabu said in an interview with Tuko.co.ke.

KCSE 2024 Results at a Glance
Education CS Ogamba highlighted the performance statistics:
- Total candidates: 952,512 (480,310 male and 482,202 female).
- A plains: 1,693 students.
- C+ and above (university qualification): 246,391 students.
- Grades qualifying for diploma courses: 476,889 students.
- Grade E: 48,333 students.
The CS commended the improved performance, particularly the increased number of female candidates, which reflects advancements in education equality.
Challenges in KCSE 2024
Despite the achievements, the exams faced challenges. Results for 840 students were canceled due to irregularities, and 2,829 were withheld pending investigations. Additionally, 91 education professionals were implicated in malpractice cases.
