Safaricom is once again the title sponsor for the BAKE Awards 2016. They were the title sponsors for the inaugural awards in 2012 at a time when most people did not know what a blogger was let alone what they do. They also extended their sponsorship in 2013 and 2014.
Kennedy Kachwanya, the BAKE chairman had this to say about the sponsorship, “it is great to have Safaricom come on board as this year’s title sponsors. Their support over the years has been unwavering and it is even more significant since this is an organization that understands and appreciates the important role played by content creators and the online space in the advancement of our community.”
