So many Kenyans have lost their lives through painful ways, including the 14 kids that were killed in Kakamega Primary School stampede
Here are notable celebrities who have already left us in 2020
1.Retired President Daniel Moi
Former head of state and Kenya’s second President Daniel Toroitich Moi died in February 2020 on 4th.
Moi had been suffering from several illness before his demise.
President Uhuru Kenyatta issued a presidential proclamation announcing the passing on of the retired President.
In January 2020, Moi was put under life support machine in Nairobi following his sudden illness.
Since he was first time rushed to the hospital in 2019 October, Moi was taken to the hospital atleast four times.
According to his spokesperson Lee Njiru, Moi was being treated of recurring complications helped by his personal doctor David Silverstein
Moi’s health was also compounded with several diseases especially a knee pain that he got after he was involved in accident, back in 2006 in Limuru area.
During that time also, he was treated of pleural effusion, a medical condition where excess fluids accumulate around the lung areas.
2.Papa Dennis – Gospel Artist
Papa Dennis also known as Dennis Mwangi was announced dead on Saturday morning of 8th in February in 2020.
Papa Dennis was found dead in Pangani, Nairobi and reports claimed that he had committed suicide after jumping off from the seventh floor.
Other allegations stated that he was pushed off from the top.
His close friends made the news on Instagram, asking for police to help with the investigations
Witnesses say that Papa Dennis was at the studio of Nairobi Records in Pangani based on the seventh floor before he stormed out and jumped off.
Nairobi Records studio is owned by famous legendary producer Mash Mjukuu.
3.Anjlee- K24 Anchor
K24 News anchor Anjlee Gadhvi died in early 2020.
The cute news cast Anjlee Gadhvi died on 10th Janaury 2020 after a long battle with Liver Cancer.
The late Anjlee passed on in Nairobi at Agha Khan hospital where she was receiving treatment.
She was first diagnised with cancer in 2013 but came public in 2015 to appeal for treatment funds.
Fortunately she received a support of Kenyan when they contributed upto Ksh. 6 million for her medical bills
Through her Instagram, she revealed that she had won cancer in 2018, only for her death to occur two year later.
4.Cyrus Omondi – Jubilee MCA
Cyrus Omondi was found dead in his hotel room in India.
The reports of his death were first revealed on social media on 12th February .
Rono Kosigi the Liaison Officer at Kenyan High Commission in India released a statement which indicated that the body of Kahawa Wendani MCA Omondi was found dead in his hotel room in Mumbai.
Kiambu County Assembly received the news of his death by shock and went into mourning.
The late Mr.Omondi was on an Educational retreat with his fellows from Kiambu county.
The Speaker for Kiambu County Assembly Stephen Ndichu said that Mr Omondi passed on after suffering a heart attack.
5.Willis Raburu’s kid
Willis Raburu lost his child with wife Mary Prudence Raburu.
Willis was thrown into deep mourning where he was forced into a vacation in USA with wife to try and recover from the ordeal.
