Daniel Wanjiru is not a common marathon name in our houses, but this could not go for long after his new record strike at Amsterdam marathon after coming 1st with a record of 2.05.21.

“I have been training well and the weather today was excellent making it possible for me to run my best. I hope the win will inspire me to many more victories in my career,” Wanjiru said.

Last years record was set by Benard Kipyegon
