Before his death, he was known for his daring stunts in Kenya daring those who could challenge him join his strength contest.

He earned his name ‘Strongest Man In Africa’ through tough missions such as breaking a six nail with his fingers

His brother noted that the fallen legend died while receiving treatment at
Consolota Mission Hospital, Kyeni, Embu County.

“He has been battling different ailments since 2015, the reason he had to quit powerlifting. He has had kidney failure, lung and heart complications. However, when we were taking him to the hospital on Monday, he was still a man of strength. He even called his children alerting them that he was going to hospital,” Ansemoli told Nation Paper.

Here are some facts about Tiger Power

  1. His fame with power was fueled by daring stunts such as letting a Land Rover roll over him with no injuries, lifting easily eight strong men and pulling a car with his bare teeth.
  2. At 71 years old, he graduated from Kenyatta University with a Bachelor in Education (early childhood education) .
  3. He also practised farming at his home in Embu county before his demise.
  4. Former President Mwai Kibaki had awarded him with  Head of State Commendation
  5. Despite his national status, he struggled settling a bill of only sh.7,000 in hospital
