Kirinyaga County Stocks Over 100,000 Condoms Ahead Of Devolution Conference

Ahead of the six edition of the devolution conference which is expected to host atleast 2000 delegates, Kirinya county distributed more than 100,000 free condoms in bars, hotels, restaurants and lodgings around Kirinyaga town.

The key mastermind of the idea, is Kirinyaga county boss Anne Waiguru who is funding the drive that will advocate for safe sex.

“This is normal practice by health agencies when we expect many visitors to a place. You cannot stop adults from having fun. But you can assist in advocating for safe sex,” said one of the health officers.

The conference which will take place between Monday 4th to Friday 8th in March 2019 will be looking to reflect on the last 5 year milestones with a mind of seeking a better future.

Key areas of concern will be drawn from Trade and Manufacturing, Agriculture, Affordable Housing, Health, Water and Sanitation.

All 47 county governors are expected to be dignitaries at the event.

  4. Chairman Council of Governors Wycliffe Oparanya,
  5. Speaker of the Senate Kenya Kenneth Lusaka,
  6. Vice-Chairperson Council of Governors Kenya Mwangi Wa Iria
  7. Host governor Anne Waiguru.
