The Kenyan Premier League has instituted proceedings against Muhoroni Youth and Wycliffe Ochomo before the Independent Disciplinary and Complaints Committee (IDCC).
The league charges that during the league match between Muhoroni Youth and Bandari at Mbaraki Sports Club on July 24, a Muhoroni Youth official attacked a ball boy at the closing stages of the match and was joined by the club’s team manager Elly Odhiambo, and goalkeeper coach Douglas Ongoro. Later the Muhoroni Youth technical bench officials entered the field of play claiming they were being pelted with stones when that was not the case. This conduct is contrary to Rules 3.3, 3.4 (a), 6.1, 7.1 and 7.7 of the Rules of Kenyan Football.
The league is also taking action against Muhoroni striker Ochomo whom it charges of assaulting Bandari’s first aid person Willy Kishao, an act that is contrary to Rules 6.1 and 7.7 of the Rules of Kenyan Football.
There will be a hearing before IDCC on Thursday 4th August.
