Popular Kenyan radio personality Kwamboka, known to fans as Kwambox, has officially exited Kiss 100 after nearly two years at Radio Africa Group (RAG), marking the end of an emotional chapter in her broadcasting career. The announcement came during her final morning show on the station, co-hosted by Kerry Martin, with whom she shared a deeply moving on-air moment.

Kwambox, who joined Kiss 100 in early 2023, expressed heartfelt gratitude to her audience and colleagues. Her final sign-off was met with tears, and she was visibly emotional as she lay on the studio table, overwhelmed by the farewell. “And just like that, we have come to the end of the show and it has been a great one,” she said. “Thank you so much to everybody that’s been a part of our journey… we appreciate you.”

Her co-host, Kerry Martin, also became emotional, delivering a touching tribute to their longstanding partnership. He reflected on their 13-year radio journey, praising Kwambox for her influence on both his personal and professional growth. “I just want to give you your flowers,” he said. “If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t be a better man or presenter… My radio journey has been pegged to you.”

Why Did Kwambox Leave Kiss 100?

Although no official statement has been released by Radio Africa Group regarding the reason for her departure, an exclusive source revealed to TUKO.co.ke that Kwambox’s contract was allegedly not renewed. The source noted that internal discussions had been ongoing, but a decision was eventually reached not to extend her stay.

Kwambox herself hinted at a desire for personal growth and change. “This has not been an easy decision,” she said, holding back tears. “I love being on the mic. It’s been a great journey, and I can’t wait for you guys to see what we’re gonna be doing next.” She went on to thank the team at Radio Africa and her loyal listeners for their support.

“Yesterday, I had so many calls of people who were crying,” she added. “I didn’t realize how hectic this was for me, but I made this decision knowing exactly what I want.”

Fans React with Mixed Emotions

While Kwambox has not revealed her next move, fans are already speculating about her future in media or possible ventures into entrepreneurship or digital content creation. Her departure mirrors a similar exit by fellow radio presenter Kamene Goro in 2023, who also left Kiss 100 amid tears and emotional tributes.

Kwambox leaves behind a legacy of lively broadcasts, witty banter, and authentic connections with listeners that cemented her as one of Kenya’s most beloved radio hosts.

As she steps into a new chapter, her fans will undoubtedly be watching closely to see where her next journey leads. For now, Kwambox exits with grace, gratitude, and the promise of something new on the horizon.
