Late Monica Kimani’s main suspect Joseph Irungu alias Jowie has been granted with a bond of cash Ksh. 2 million.

Jowie was ordered not to report to any media or social media interms of commending on the case.

He was also ordered to report to his local chief every end of the month in Nakuru.

Before his release, Justice James Wakiaga  said that the key witness had already testified and therefore will not be affected with his bail.

Following the murder, he was arrested in September 2018.

He filed a bail application on November 21, 2019  claiming he was suffering at the Kamiti Maximum Prison

His co-accused Jacky Maribe was granted bail in October 2018, and had been attending courts.

In a mysterious case, Jowie was in December 2019 moved from Kamiti Maximum prison to the Manyani Maximum Prison in Voi.
