Makena Njeri, a 25-year-old content creator and social media influencer, recently announced that she has changed her name to Chriss Murithi. She made the announcement on her social media channels, where she has over 1 million followers.

“I’m so excited to finally share this news with you all,” Njeri wrote in a post on Instagram. “I’ve been feeling this name in my heart for a long time, and I’m finally ready to make it official.”

Njeri said that she changed her name because she felt it was no longer aligned with her true identity. “I’ve grown so much as a person in the past few years, and I feel like this name better reflects the person I am today,” she said.

Njeri’s name change has been met with support from her fans and followers. “I’m so happy for you, Chriss!” one person commented on Instagram. “You’ve always been so authentic and true to yourself, and I’m glad you’re finally living your truth.”

Njeri said that she is excited to start this new chapter in her life with her new name. “I’m ready to step into my power and live my life authentically,” she said. “I’m Chriss Murithi, and I’m here to stay.”

In addition to changing her name, Njeri also updated her social media profiles to reflect her new identity. She changed her username on Instagram to @officiallychrissmurithi and changed her profile picture to a photo of herself with her new name tag. She also updated her bio to include her new name and pronouns.

Njeri’s name change is a powerful reminder that we all have the right to live our lives authentically. If you’re feeling called to change your name, don’t be afraid to take the leap. You deserve to be called by the name that feels most true to you.
