Speaking during an interview on Radio Jambo, Biketi shared that she takes it upon herself to filter out new admirers who try to reach out to the former Kakamega governor. She emphasized that while she has no issues with his past relationships, she is keen on preventing new romantic interests from stepping in.

“There are times I go through his phone and block whoever needs to be blocked. Kuna tudem tudem, jamani hawawezi kosa. Bado wasichana wanamtaka. I block, block, block. Wale wa nje wabaki nje,” she said.

Biketi further disclosed that many of these women attempt to woo Oparanya by sending suggestive messages and photos. Some, she said, even try to arrange meetings with him, a move she quickly shuts down.

“Some even send inappropriate pictures, which is unfortunate. At times, I play along and respond just to understand their intentions,” she admitted.

Despite the competition, she remains unfazed, saying she trusts Oparanya’s commitment to their relationship.

“Yes, they might be more attractive, have better figures, or be more educated, but I block them. He told me he’s happy with the women he already has,” she added.

Biketi also shared the story of how she met Oparanya, saying their first encounter happened unexpectedly at Wilson Airport.

“We crossed paths at Wilson Airport while heading to Kisumu, as we were on the same flight. I didn’t know him before, but he sat next to me, and from there, the rest is history,” she reminisced.

She further revealed that their relationship has since grown stronger, confirming that Oparanya has even visited her family. However, she preferred to keep details of their relationship private out of respect for the other women in his life.

Oparanya’s Polygamous Life

The Cabinet Secretary has openly embraced polygamy, previously confirming that he has two wives, Priscilla and Sharon, alongside Biketi. He explained that his decision to have a large family stemmed from being an only child, with his mother encouraging him to have multiple children.

Despite his growing public profile, Oparanya maintains that he is content with his current partners and has no intention of adding more women to his life.

With Biketi standing as a strong presence in his life, it is clear she is determined to protect their bond while navigating the dynamics of their polygamous relationship.
