Interior Cabinet Secretary, Fred Matiang’i has warned that there would be no extension of the Huduma Namba registration also known as National Integrated Identity Management System (NIIMS).
The mass registration which is set to be concluded on May 18th for those living in Kenya, will not be extended because of cost complications
“There will be cost implications if we extend that period. We have deployed 154 KIEMs kit across our 54 missions around the world,” Matiang’i said on Monday.
Those in Diaspora will have a humble ti,e to register not until June 20, 2019.
CS Matiangi assured Kenyans that their details were safe and no one would be compelled to register the free exercise.
Since the registration kicked off in April, more than 31 million Kenyans have so far been captured on the National Integrated Identity Management System (NIIMS).
