A Migori man is on the loose after chopping off his wife’s hands who is said to have taken too long while attending a funeral service over the last week.
The 50 year old mother of nine claim her husband cut her face, left and right arm with a machete, and when she tried to escape, she was thrown at with a machete.
“When I came back home on Thursday evening he was not in. I prepared for the evening but when he came, he just attacked me. He beat me and cut me repeatedly with the machete, threatening to kill me,” said the woman from her hospital bed.
The woman was left to bleed to unconsciousness until family members from a distance home came at her rescue.
They refused to report the matter to the police. I passed out and gained consciousness at the hospital after my nephew brought me here,” she said
Police noted that the case had not been reported but the will pursue until justice is done
