Mo Aisha has shared a heartbreaking account of losing her infant son, Lyric, just one month after his birth. The model, known for featuring on The Bag video mix, welcomed Lyric with actor Mungai Mbaya. The loss left a deep emotional wound that later strained their relationship and led to their breakup.

Lyric passed away in June 2021, only hours after turning one month old. Mo Aisha described the moment she learned of his death at Kenyatta National Hospital as haunting and disorienting. She said she had stepped away briefly and returned to find medics acting differently. When she asked what was happening, no one answered. Moments later, the truth became clear. She recalled screaming in shock, unable to cry, frozen by the weight of the news.

The grief that followed was overwhelming. Mo Aisha shared that she struggled to process a future without her son. She admitted she briefly contemplated ending her life as the pain felt unbearable. She described holding her baby and crying, clinging to the last moments she had with him. She said there are no words that can fully explain the death of a child.

Mungai Mbaya later explained that the couple did not separate because of one specific issue. He said they gradually drifted apart under the emotional strain of their loss. Despite the breakup, he emphasized mutual respect and understanding, acknowledging the trauma they both endured.

Mo Aisha’s story highlights the silent battles many grieving parents face. Her openness sheds light on the realities of loss, shock, and mental health after tragedy. By sharing her experience, she gives voice to pain that many struggle to articulate and reminds others that grief can change lives in lasting ways.
