Newly elected Kitua Governor Charity Ngilu has become the latest female victim of male chauvinism in a society that should be shameful if at all such habits can still get an airtime.

Her hard stance against Jubilee campaign in her county brought her close to bad shoulders when an MP declared that she should be raped if she doesn’t support Jubilee campaign in her region.

Kitui East MP Nimrod Mbai made the outrageous remarks following Ngilu’s statement that Uhuru Kenyatta should forgot the over 80,000 votes he got in the previous election.

Mbai’s remarks have since attracted criticism from across the country with Kenya Film Classifications Board CEO Ezekiel Mutua terming them as obscene and offensive to the human decency.

Mutua has further called on Mbai to apologise to Ngilu over the remarks.
