Popular Kenyan singer Nadia Mukami has announced her temporary withdrawal from the music scene to prioritize her health after experiencing an asthma attack. In a heartfelt Instagram post on October 3, the talented artist, known for her hit song “Mi na We,” shared her emotional journey following a high-energy performance at OktobaFest.

During the event, Nadia felt exhilarated, giving her all on stage, but the excitement took a toll on her health. The energy she poured into her performance triggered an asthma attack, leading to her collapsing as she made her way backstage. Grateful for the quick response from her dancers, DJ, and team, Nadia expressed her appreciation for their support in ensuring she received immediate medical attention.

“Yesterday during #OktobaFest I had mad energy and vibes on stage until my chest couldn’t take it anymore and had an asthma attack and collapsed on my way backstage! I have been ill for a while, and after this weekend, I shall take a break till the 15th to take care of my health! A huge thank you to my dancers, DJ & team for the prompt response! To the #OktobaFest team, thank you for your kindness. Carnivore in a few, Maua see you tonight,” she wrote.

The announcement has prompted an outpouring of support from fans and fellow artists alike. Many took to social media to send well-wishes and encouragement for her recovery. Comments from followers included praises for her performance and reminders of the importance of self-care. Notable messages included:

  • lauranaitore: “Beautiful performance. We love your energy.”
  • the.lakesidegirl: “Take rest mama. Your health is very important. I wish you a quick recovery.”
  • tianatee33: “We all had fun on that stage. QR Queen.”
  • _bobonaya: “You’re a true definition of a strong woman, quick recovery Queen.”

Nadia Mukami’s decision to take a step back highlights the importance of prioritizing health, especially in the demanding entertainment industry. As she takes this necessary time to recover, her fans eagerly await her return to the stage, confident that she will come back stronger than ever.
