Nairobi commuters from Umoja Estate were robbed around 7am at Peacok stage by armed gangsters in one of Umoinner Sacco matatu.
The robbers made away with the valuables of CBD-bound passengers after the morning incident.
The thugs who ran away using motorbikes had boarded the bus near the same said stage.
One person was shot as the thieves dispersed crowds while shooting in the air.
“An Uber driver was shot on the thigh by the thugs who shot in the air as they escaped. He was taken to a nearby hospital and he is out of danger,” Bururburu DCI Jeremiah Ikiao said
