NAYA is recruiting County Youth Advocates!

The Network of Adolescent and Youth of Africa (NAYA) is a youth led advocacy network founded in 2001. NAYA aims at enhancing the capacity of youth leaders to advocate for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRH&R) advocacy by enlisting the support of policy makers, opinion leaders, development partners, the media and like-minded organizations and individuals. NAYA also advocates for reforms and implementation of national policies and legislation to improve the quality and availability of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (AS&RH&R) information and services.

NAYA is recruiting a new pool of youth advocates that will help in championing for sexual and reproductive health and rights of young people within their respective regions. The core mandate of selected advocates will be organize/participate/conduct advocacy campaigns targeting various stakeholders (including Members of the County Assembly (MCAs), County Health Management Team (CHMT), youths etc.) in the reproductive health sector through targeted activities.
Qualifications

– Must be of the age of 18-24 years

– Must have completed form four

– Should have a background on sexual and reproductive health and rights policy environment of young people in their county and Kenya.

Requirements
– Must reside in the respective County of recruitment (Kisii, Migori & Homabay)
– Must attach a scanned copy of an original identity card (ID), a copy of the most current curriculum vitae (CV), School leaving certificates and/or any other credentials deemed necessary by the applicant
NB/ Applicants who completed school in 2014 should bring the last school report cards prior to sitting for their national examinations or any other proof.
– Two most recent passport size photos
– An application letter

Dates for the interview will be as follows:

• Migori County- Monday 9th March 2015 (Migori Town- Maranatha)
• Homa-Bay County – Tuesday 10th March 2015 (Homa-Bay town)
• Kisii County – Wednesday 11th March 2015 (Kisii Town)

N/B: Applicants are advised to bring the above mentioned materials on the interview day or deposit them in any of the NAYA offices in Nairobi or Kisumu.
