Nigerian Afrobeat sensation Fido, best known for his hit song Joy Is Coming, is all set to embark on his first-ever tour of Kenya this April. The exciting news comes as Fido prepares to bring his vibrant energy and dynamic stage presence to Nairobi and Mombasa, marking his debut performances in the country.

The highly anticipated tour will kick off on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Kitchenette Bistro & Café in Nairobi’s lush Lavington area, with the event starting at noon. The celebration promises an unforgettable lineup, featuring Nigerian and Kenyan artistes, including Slimcase, Ayomeekun, DJ Ruffy, Ajay of Buruklyn Boyz, and DJ Pierra Makena. The event is set to showcase a fusion of Afrobeat, hip-hop, and Kenyan music, creating an electric atmosphere that fans are eagerly awaiting.

On Saturday, April 19, the tour will continue with a special performance at the grand opening of Ojudeoba Lounge and Restaurant in Mtwapa, Mombasa. The Mombasa event is expected to be a major highlight of the tour, offering attendees a chance to experience Fido’s music in the coastal city, alongside more performances from Kenyan artistes.

TUKO.co.ke spoke with Gloria, one of the event organisers, who explained that the tour is a celebration of Africa’s rich musical heritage. “Fans can expect thrilling live performances of Fido’s top hits, a star-studded lineup of artistes from Nigeria and Kenya, premium food and drinks, and a high-energy atmosphere, all within a well-curated, secure event,” Gloria shared.

The event organisers, Clearsky Entertainment and Bruce Promotions, have also warned that tickets for both Nairobi and Mombasa events are in high demand, with a special flash sale price currently offered at KSh 1,500 for a single ticket or KSh 4,500 for a group of four. Those planning to attend are encouraged to purchase their tickets early to avoid missing out on this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Fido’s Kenyan debut is expected to be an exciting milestone in his career, as he continues to rise in popularity across Africa and beyond. His infectious Afrobeat sounds and magnetic performances have made him a rising star in the global music scene, and Kenyan fans can’t wait to see him perform live.

As Fido brings his musical talents to Kenya, this tour is set to be a celebration of Africa’s diverse and rich music culture, fostering unity and joy among fans from both Nigeria and Kenya.
