The Hub Karen celebrated the first anniversary of Hub Park on Saturday, November 29. The event filled the mall with music, dance and festive energy. Singer Njerae delivered a strong performance that kept guests engaged. Traditional dancers and a live band added rhythm and color to the celebration. The Ghetto Classics Orchestra also took the stage, giving the event a polished finish.
Guests enjoyed the Christmas tree lighting that followed the performances. Many visitors said the party felt lively and warm, with activities that appealed to families and children.
Hub Park used the anniversary to introduce new attractions and promotions. The team rolled out a loyalty program, Buy One Get One Free Thursdays, a 25 percent discount for toddlers on Tuesdays and a new aerial glider camera experience that captures moments as guests fly across the park.
Margaret Mbaka, JCG Chairperson, said the milestone reflects a vision to build a space that brings families together. She noted that Hub Park has grown into a place that serves schools, families and corporate groups. She added that the first year surpassed the expectations of the management team.
Jacobus Visser, The Hub Karen Mall Manager, said the park has become a central part of the mall. He highlighted its impact on families and children who visit regularly. He also thanked guests and partners who supported the park throughout the year.
Hub Park covers 3,200 square metres and can host up to 410 people at once within its attractions. The facility can accommodate more than 1,000 guests in total. It offers activities for toddlers, youth and adults in a climate controlled environment. Attractions include Kenya’s first air glider, climbing walls, trampolines, a foam dome, a net maze, interactive gaming zones, virtual reality areas and play spaces for young children.
The park supports birthdays, school trips, organised group visits and family outings. Extra features such as themed party rooms, baby changing areas, on site dining and free parking for up to three hours improve the visitor experience.
Guests can choose from several attraction passes. The Explorer Pass offers access to four attractions. The Thrill Seeker Pass offers six. The Adventure Delight Pass offers eight. The Ultimate Pass gives visitors full day access to all attractions. Each option targets different interests and budgets.
The Hub Park has grown into one of Nairobi’s leading indoor recreation venues. Its mix of play, relaxation and community activity has made it a preferred choice for families seeking a safe and engaging place to spend time together.
