A Pakistan airline, flight PK661 crashed town in oue of the states cities, killing all the 37 people aboard.
Aviation Authorities had indicated that the aircraft came down in the city of Chitral to Islamabad after it lost contact due to communication problems.
The plane came down near the city of Havelian on Wensday.
Pakistan last had a major flight disaster in 2010 when Airbus 321 operating under a private airline Airblue crashed into the hills outside Islamabad killling all 152 on board. Most of the occupants had been international envoys.
The fatal incident had been later blamed on a confused captain and a hostile working environment in the cockpit during the flight.
