Family and friends of late Binyavanga Wainaina converged at National Museum of Kenya in Nairobi for his memorial on 29th, May 2019, a day after his cremation.
The LGBT was represented by some of the cross-dressed mourners of the late Binyavanga who was set to tie a knot with his gay South African partner.
In 2015 November , the late suffered a stroke and in 2016 on World Aids Day, he revealed that he was HIV positive.
He died on May 22, 2019.
